Present Tense
The present tense in Ukrainian is equivalent to both the present tense and the present progressive tense in English. я працюю can mean [I work] or [I am working].
Verbs can be conjugated in the present tense according to the tables below.
For verbs ending with the -ати suffix:
читати - to read

For verbs ending with the -ити suffix:
робити - to do

For verbs ending with the -вати suffix:
працювати - to work
