Денніс «Тінк» Белл, британський дослідник, помер в Антарктиді 1959 року. Він працював на базі Адміралті-Бей, впав у тріщину льодовика й загинув. Йому було 25 років. Тоді його тіло не змогли знайти, і сім’я довго не знала, що з ним сталося.
Тіло Тінка знайшли через 65 років.
У січні цього року польські дослідники, які працюють в Антарктиді, випадково знайшли кістки. Там також були годинник, радіоприймач і люлька. Льодовик тане через зміну клімату, це допомогло знайти рештки.

Dennis "Tink" Bell, a British explorer, died in Antarctica in 1959. He worked at the Admiralty Bay base, fell into a glacier crevasse, and died. He was 25 years old. At that time, his body could not be found, and the family did not know what had happened to him for a long time. His mother was so broken by grief that she could not even look at his photographs.
Tink's body was found 65 years later.
In January this year, Polish researchers working in Antarctica accidentally found the bones. Along with them were a watch, a radio, and a pipe. The glacier is melting due to climate change, which helped uncover the remains.
David Bell, Dennis’s brother who now lives in Australia, was very happy but also sad that their parents did not live to see this moment. He said Dennis was a cheerful, lively person who loved cooking, joking, and taking care of dogs. He also worked with weather balloons and sent weather reports to Britain.
Dennis was very brave and made a great contribution to Antarctic research. His memory is kept alive by his family, colleagues, and scientists.
